A. SIGNING IN TO YOUR TEACHER PAGE

  • The URL for the Teacher Directory is teachers.ocknight.org.
  • If your page is hosted on this site, the direct link to your teacher page is:
      • teachers.ocknight.org/username (eg. kyeh or mwiersma)
      • Note that this link does not work if you have a separate Google Site (eg. Amanda & Carleen)
  • Click the "Sign in" link at the bottom of a page to be able to edit the page.
  • All faculty have the ability to edit the pages of any other faculty member. This is to allow teachers to help each other with getting their pages set up.

B. GETTING CONTENT FROM OLD WEBSITE AND BASIC EDITING


  • URL to view the old website teacher page: http://view.diswebsites.com/ocs/faculty/username
    • Username should be your first initial+last name (eg. kyeh or mwiersma)
    • You will need to manually add the page name to the end of the address.
      • Hover over the link for the page and note the word after your username (eg. classinfo.cfm or newsletters.cfm
  • Copy and paste the content from that page--including any images--into a new Google Doc


C. BASIC PAGE EDITING

  • Editing a Google Site Page is similar to working in Google Docs
  • Use the "Add Files" link at the bottom of the page to add newsletters and other file attachments.
